Meg, accompanied by her usual collaborator and dear friend pianist Cam Scott, have put together an exceptional band of musicians again this year, playing new original arrangements as well as a new twist on some of their swing tunes!

After the excitement of 2022’s 6-piece ensemble, she couldn’t resist the opportunity to dip her toe back in the ‘bigger’ band dynamic, this time approaching the tunes from more of a fusion angle than the classic swing style she lead last time.

Trio’s and quartet’s being their main gig... it’s not often Meg and Cam get to expand and add a three-piece horn section, so it promises again to be a fresh and exciting sound... yet still of course grounded in the magic she and Cam create with that usual heart felt soulful energy and presence.

The band is made up of some of Australia’s music legends, creating what will undoubtedly be a performance not to be missed!

Meg Corson - Bio.

A graduate of the ANU School of Music/Jazz Studies. Meg’s professional experience, though grounded in jazz, is diverse and spans most genres of music. She has played leading roles in musicals, lead jazz bands, fronted big bands and orchestras and now produces her own concerts, as well as many community performances and events.

Meg has a rich performance history as a soloist but has also recorded and performed with some impressive people over the years, most fondly with James Morrison and the late great Don Burrows! Which was during her chapter as one of the founding members of A’cappella group ‘The Idea of North’.

Whether singing to a large crowd or an intimate audience, the personal and emotional connection to people is what you get. And fun!
